TransUnion, a leading global provider of information and insights, has announced the expansion of its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune, India. The center, located in Panchshil Business Park, now covers 59,307 square feet across two floors, demonstrating TransUnion’s commitment to advancing its global market strategy through technological innovation and operational excellence. The Pune GCC is a key hub within TransUnion’s global network, which includes centers in Costa Rica, India, and South Africa. The GCC operations in India, with locations in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune, are integral to TransUnion’s global operations. The GCC sector in India is witnessing significant growth, currently employing over 1.6 million professionals. According to EY, this momentum is set to continue, with projections estimating more than 2,400 GCCs in India by 2030, potentially creating over 4.5 million jobs. At the recent Bengaluru Tech Summit 2024, the Karnataka government announced the launch of India’s first GCC policy and strategic MoUs with global tech giants, with an aim to train 1 lakh professionals in the next year. This expansion of TransUnion’s Pune GCC is a testament to the growth and potential of the GCC sector in India.
