India’s Reliance Group-backed Addverb Technologies Ltd., a global robotics company, is set to revolutionize the humanoid race by introducing its first humanoid robots in 2025. With a 56% stake in Addverb, Reliance Industries is providing support and backing to the company to achieve its ambitious goals. Addverb’s co-founder and CEO, Sangeet Kumar, revealed in a recent interview that the company plans to unveil 100 robots in 2025, with applications in various industries such as energy and retail. These humanoid robots will have similar capabilities to those being built in the US, China, and Europe, but Addverb is not limiting itself to just humanoids. The company also has plans to commercialize military-grade robots and even send humanoids to Mars. The price of these robots is yet to be decided and will vary based on the industry they are being used in. With Reliance’s support and leveraging existing technologies, such as perception and 5G, Addverb is set to make a significant impact in the humanoid sector. As the humanoid race gains traction globally, India’s entry into this space is expected to be a game-changer. With other companies like Figure, Tesla, Agility Robotics, and Unitree making waves in this sector, Addverb’s success may inspire more companies to emerge in this field from India. As Figure CEO, Brett Adcock, has previously mentioned, it is possible that humanoid robots will become as common as cars or phones in the near future.
