Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola and Krutrim, has recently announced that Krutrim will be powering the LLM services for the Kumbh Sah’AI’yak app. This AI chatbot was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today and is designed for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which will take place from January 13th to February 26th in Prayagrag. The chatbot aims to enhance the experience of devotees in the city by showcasing a unique blend of culture and technology.
Aggarwal stated that this chatbot will redefine the experience of all the devotees in Prayagraj and will mark a milestone in the convergence of Indian culture and technology. The Uttar Pradesh government had announced last month that they plan to launch the chatbot named ‘Sah’AI’yak’ to assist devotees during Maha Kumbh 2025. It was earlier revealed that the chatbot, which will run on WhatsApp, will be powered by Bhashini and SamagraX and will offer information in over 10 languages. Krutrim has now been added to this list.
The Kumbh Sah’AI’yak chatbot will offer features such as Google navigation, interactive conversational capabilities, and personalized GIF responses. It aims to provide a smooth and engaging experience for millions of attendees. Through both text and voice interactions, it will offer insights into the event’s history and traditions, details about sadhus and akhadas, key bathing ghats, important dates, routes, parking facilities, and accommodation options.
In May, Krutrim, the AI unicorn, launched its first LLM, Krutrim-7B-chat, which was trained on ten Indian languages, on the Databricks Marketplace for free. Krutrim is also launching another AI developer app called Bhashik, a multimodal language hub that can translate videos into different languages. The company also plans to produce its first AI silicon chip by 2026.
